The new De Gianfilippi Kindergarten in Bardolino has been officially inaugurated, marking a significant investment in educational facilities at the heart of the historic center.
The project, designed by Ardielli Fornasa Associati with the collaboration of RS Ingegneria (structural design) and Ingea (MEP design), was realized by Setten Genesio under the site management of Alighieri 50, as part of a public–private partnership with the Municipality of Bardolino and Mediocredito.
Conceived as more than a school, the building embodies the idea of architecture as an educational tool. Its compact, brick-clad exterior evokes monumentality and recognizability, while the interiors open onto bright, colorful, and articulated spaces designed at a child’s scale. Protection and surprise coexist, transforming the school into a place of learning through experience.
Situated in the historic center, the kindergarten reinforces the connection between the community and its urban heritage, demonstrating the cultural and civic value of investing in public architecture in the city’s core.
Our deepest appreciation goes to Setten Genesio and to all the craftsmen whose expertise and dedication made this project possible, as well as to the Municipality of Bardolino for its strategic commitment to high-quality educational facilities.
