The experience of Bardolino represents the case of a provincial reality, although very prosperous and renowned for the beauty of the places, within which architecture has taken on an increasingly important role in recent years in the construction of a territorial identity linked to the transformations of the its landscape overlooking Lake Garda. Through a gallery of examples ranging from residences to architecture for the reception to services, a sort of spontaneous “laboratory” is given account of a comparison between the administration on the one hand and local professionals and not only on the other, engaged in rethinking the way of operating in this context. On the sidelines of the current urban transformations, it seemed useful to take the opportunity to tell the story of three extraordinary architectures built in Bardolino between the sixties and seventies.
